Memoirs of a Rubik’s Cube
"January 2006, I was born to an average family. My father was a merchant and my mother passed away when I was born. At the age of one I was already solved by a bizarre looking man strolling through the marketplace, but just as quickly was put back down. Later that winter, a young precocious boy happened to pick me up. He seemed reluctant at first but in the end decided to purchase me at the cost of a dollar, and I had finally found my first master.
For the next two years we would develop an irreplaceable relationship consisting of him gently twisting and turning my stiff parts in hopes of solving my mischievous puzzle, but never once was he able to. He studied, books, videos, and got the aide of friends, but in the end I would refuse to be solved. Then one night of the final summer, he would record a video of himself attempting to solve me. During the process, he used a new secret technique unseen to me before, oh how the multiple twists and slams brought pleasureful pain to my joints. But what happened next nobody could have foresaw... In an instant, it was over. Before I knew what was going on there was only half of me remaining. What I used to call my legs had completely shattered, what was remaining hardly even resembled a cube anymore. I could feel immense pain as the cold paint flowed out the gashes in me. The last thing I could remember, my master, rushing to me, holding me up, tears in his eyes... I couldn't hear what he was saying anymore, he was shouting something I believe... heheh... in the end, you were never able to solve me, master. Thank you... it's been... fun..." Rubia Kubics, 2006-2009
I'm not kidding I never learned how to solve a freaking Rubik's Cube like I was supposed to last summer and last last summer. Oh well, now that that's over, let's go look at some of the nicer things that's happened to me recently.
Dun dun duh daaaa! You got small key!... er, no wait, what is that?
This here be a HORI brand authentic arcade stick compatible with the PS3 and PC, given to me as an early birthday present by my NIISAN. I actually half expected him to get me this since he was talking about wanting to buy me a car for my birthday but that being too much, so he wanted to settle for something cheaper, then the next day he was asking me about arcade sticks for some odd reason. Anyway now that I have my very own arcade stick (same kind used as the higher ups) I finally feel like a legit fighting game player and if anything I'll be taking this babe to tourneys soon enough and smacking Daigo in the face with it.
And finally the last thing I wanted to show off was my legitimate (amazing yes) copy of the limited edition of Melty Blood Actress Again for the PS2. The limited box set came with the game and the OST all illustrated in quality art by Takeuchi Takeshi, the leading artist of the Type-Moon franchise. I was very pleased with it overall even if I didn't get one of the Japan exclusive sweet-ass phone cards or posters, and now I can finally use every character in the game, something I couldn't do with my pirated copy previously.
That's it for now, it's the weekend and all and if I'm up to it I may make another QFFTV vid soon. For those of you who are interested in PokeRisk be sure to come back here as I'll probably be updating a lot of info on that here as well. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some hadoukens in my pocket and I'm handing them out for free.
