Nice Blue Things

It's about time I upgraded to the blu-ray club. And to start it off I have just purchased both Jet Li's Fearless and the first Rebuild of Evangelion 1.11 blu-ray discs.

Now being of oriental descent (azn), I already by default love kung-fu films. And anyone else who shares the same passion most likely owned the super awesome special blu-ray edition of Fearless long before I have. To someone who doesn't, I still recommend seeing the film at least once in your life time whether it be the super awesome special blu-ray edition or just the plain old but still good bootleg DVD version.

And for Eva, well truth to be told I'm not a great Evangelion fan. But I liked 2.22 so much I decided to stay classy and purchase all the movies as they're released on our shores. A feat that unfortunately will take many many years but I at the very least we should see Western home releases of 2.22 in perhaps a year or so.

The blu-ray version of 1.11 came in a small box set complete with a 20 page art & info book. A very nice little snug set for only $13. I'm very eager to but have yet to watch it. I have high expectations for blu-ray anime. I did watch Fearless and the quality and resolution was so crisp and clear. It was as if I had just experienced high definition entertainment for the first time again.

Anyway, My LS-32 Seimitsu arcade stick has arrived, but I'm still waiting on the rest of my arcade parts to come in. The final result will be very clever if it comes out as I envision in my head. I'll be updating my progress as I continue on the project so stay tuned for future updates.
